Representative Gregory Meeks said on CNN Tuesday that President Donald Trump cannot prevent a substantial Democratic win in the November midterms.
The New York Democrat recalled 2015 and 2016 remarks by Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham calling Trump a fraud. Meeks maintained that courts found no voter fraud, accused Trump of trying to mislead the public, and said Trump has repeatedly tried to cheat in elections as his background demonstrates.
Kate Bolduan asked whether this would affect the vote. Meeks cited Democratic primary energy as fueling greater turnout and argued Republican policy failures will produce a large Democratic result.
