New York Democrat Laura Gillen appeared Friday on NewsNation and discussed a possible Democratic House majority after the November elections. She said party moderates would need to remain unified so that certain bills from Democratic Socialists of America members never receive a floor vote.

Gillen noted that a comparable group of members already serves in Congress. She added that DSA candidates competing in heavily Democratic New York districts are likely to win seats. Host Blake Burman had asked what would happen if such members joined a Democratic-controlled House.
