On Tuesday, California Democrat Robert Garcia appeared on MS NOW Deadline and argued that Donald Trump has damaged the United States.

Garcia cited surveys that now put the president in the upper twenties or lower thirties. He said many earlier supporters either plan to skip voting or no longer trust him, while a handful of fellow Republicans have started to criticize him, a pattern he wants to keep growing.

He also said Trump has warped ideas of morality, how people treat one another, views of immigrants, care for those in hardship, and treatment of disabled people. After a long period of gloom, Garcia said he has felt more optimistic over the past four weeks and expects November to begin the close of the Trump presidency.
