Pennsylvania Democratic Representative Brendan Boyle spoke Thursday on MS NOW State of Play about fellow Democrat Senator John Fetterman. Boyle said his stance had barely shifted from a tweet days earlier that branded Fetterman a disgrace after a Wall Street Journal story on neglected Senate work.

Boyle called the story shocking and pointed to Fetterman declining meetings with veterans and with Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia researchers seeking grant support, groups Boyle has met himself. He expected worries about Fetterman to persist and portrayed him as someone who has long chosen high-visibility gestures.

Boyle said Fettermans votes and whether he stays in the Senate Democratic caucus are the decisive questions, and he hopes Fetterman honors his pledge to remain in that caucus.
