Democratic nominee for Maine’s U.S. House seat Matt Dunlap, the current state auditor, spoke Saturday on MS NOW’s The Weekend about his Republican opponent, former Governor Paul LePage. Dunlap noted that LePage initially supported tariffs, later reversed after noticing consequences, urged they stop quickly, and made unusual comments regarding his White House connections.

Dunlap maintained that serving in Congress means joining a distinct governmental arm tasked with supervising the executive rather than partnering with it. He stated that performing that supervisory function is his goal in the House.
