Country singer Jelly Roll invited unhappy listeners to drop his catalog after they objected to his remarks about President Donald Trump while he filled in as host of Jimmy Kimmel Live this week.

He used the opening segment to discuss an IndyCar race the president hosted along D.C. streets, then mocked a clip of Trump waving a flag and grouped himself with the president in a body-size insult. Trump supporters on social media attacked him as disloyal and vowed to stop supporting his work.

On Tuesday night he stood by the material as fitting a late-night program that covers current events through humor, cited his own stage name, and told those threatening a boycott they were free to leave.
