Basketball legend Charles Barkley told Chris Cuomo he identifies as an independent after supporting Democrats for most of his life. He opposed certain Democratic positions that would end ICE, close prisons, eliminate police, and adopt socialism.

Those positions counted among the worst ideas he has ever encountered, and every politician he observed advancing them was a Democrat. Barkley stated ICE must perform much better, the country cannot allow people to enter freely across the border, and immigrants are essential as exceptionally diligent workers. He said dishonest immigrants should be removed and voters should present identification.
