Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday that Western governments aiding Ukraine share blame for any further fighting and that Britain in particular could face outcomes no one can forecast. Her remarks followed Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s announcement that London will give Ukraine the designs needed to produce Anglo-French bunker-busting cruise missiles inside the country.

Zakharova claimed handing over those plans will not let Britain or France escape accountability for attacks deep inside Russia and that the main Western backers of Kyiv will be treated as directly involved. She said Moscow might then hit British military facilities and equipment in Ukraine or outside it if Ukraine fires British missiles or drones.

She also named France and Germany, insisted any foreign troops sent to Ukraine would be lawful targets, and noted that Britain has no official large force there.
