Actor Alan Ritchson claimed Amazon Prime had approved a Reacher season based on Lee Childs 1998 novel Die Trying and then dropped it after Donald Trump won another term.

A fan expressed disappointment that the series skipped the plot in which the hero fights a white supremacist militia. Ritchson called that book his favorite and said the project stayed approved until someone was reelected.

Ritchson and Trump have clashed since July after the actor said the president should be imprisoned over the Epstein files.
