A deleted X post from the Disney-owned outlet described an analysis finding defense companies backed by Donald Trump Junior and Eric Trump obtained more than six billion dollars in government contracts after those investments. CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski archived a screenshot and stated Friday that ABC News fully withdrew the story two days earlier with no note or comment after many lawmakers and Democratic officials shared it.

A K-File newsletter said ABC News stayed silent Thursday more than 24 hours after Wednesday evening removal left the original address showing an error. Disney was then trying to stop an FCC review of its broadcast licenses, calling the review a campaign by the Trump administration, with a federal judge still to decide.
