Texas Senate candidate James Talarico appeared at a Kacey Musgraves concert in Dallas after his campaign said influenza had kept him out of public view for about two weeks. Campaign staff posted that the audience was excited to see him as he walked to the front row, where some people along the rail recognized him and recorded video.

He was also seen at the Austin City Limits festival over the weekend and wore the same clothes as the day he first reappeared, without a mask at either crowded event. Spencer Pratt and Nick Sortor have theorized that he spent time in a mental health facility. Others have asked why he has not held a press conference about the 13-day gap.
