Protesters assembled outside Ed Sheeran’s Philadelphia concert at Lincoln Financial Field last weekend, carrying flags and voicing demands for Palestinian independence. The demonstration came one week after Macklemore was dropped from Sheeran’s Loop Tour.

Macklemore had promoted the same demand during his opening performance at MetLife Stadium. He reported that Sheeran relayed an ultimatum organized by Patriots owner Robert Kraft with other stadium operators, warning that keeping Macklemore would cost the venues. Sheeran said he did not issue that demand, labeled the wider fighting a tragedy affecting both sides, and has largely avoided further comment.
