CNN reporters were denied access to White House grounds for covering Chinese President Xi Jinping’s arrival ahead of Thursday’s state dinner, Erin Burnett reported.

President Trump posted that CNN and MSDNC sat out coverage of Xi’s daytime arrival with Peng. He added that other outlets would report on the evening dinner.

CBS News described the trip as Xi’s first to the United States in more than a decade. The White House guest list named spouses of American officials, Chinese figures including Cai Qi and Wang Yi, plus AMD chief Lisa Su and Apple chairman Tim Cook.
