A man carrying a Palestinian flag ran onto the field at Yankee Stadium during a Yankees game against the Mets. The contest fell on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, and he reached the grass at 9:11 p.m. Security staff tackled him and took him away while spectators chanted USA.

The Mets were in the Bronx to play the Yankees. The stadium also held an on-field acknowledgment of 25 years since the attacks, and some players from the 2001 Yankees team attended.
