A Chicago Islamic scholar told listeners that his religion did not arrive in order to share space with other creeds. He described it as standing above every rival and as something that must never be overtaken, adding that outsiders who wish to remain among its community must accept worship of Allah.

He said the faith exists to set every other tradition right and to end what he called their oppression, presenting it as the single source of truth and of justice. He also cited a statement attributed to the Prophet Muhammad that the religion stays highest, with nothing placed over it.
